How People-Search Sites Expose Your Information
A people-search profile can connect details that seem harmless alone—such as an age range, relative, city, phone number, and previous address.

Confirm that the profile is yours
People with similar names are often grouped together. Compare the city, age range, relatives, and previous locations before starting a removal request. Do not submit a request for someone else unless you are authorized to represent them.
Assess the exposure
A current home address, direct phone number, personal email, family relationship, or workplace can create more risk than an old city or approximate age. Use that risk to decide which profile to address first.
Use the official opt-out path
Begin with the website’s own privacy or suppression instructions. Be cautious of unrelated forms that request excessive documentation, passwords, authentication codes, or payment-card information.
Verify and monitor
After the source reports completion, revisit the profile URL and search again. Record the outcome and continue periodic checks because records may be rebuilt or republished.
